Note from Tom
As Durham, the State of North Carolina, and our entire country face the unknowns of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the City’s top priority is to maintain essential services for our community while protecting the health and safety of our residents and employees.
While we all get through this challenging time together, City of Durham residents can be assured that essential City services will not be interrupted, including access to clean drinking water; trash, recycling, and yard waste collection; and public safety services from police, fire, and 911. We give our deepest thanks to those who continue to provide these services while many of us are staying home to prevent the spread of the virus.
The City continues to stay in frequent communication with our partners at the Durham County Department of Public Health and health officials at local, state, and federal agencies who are monitoring the situation and providing guidance on how to respond to this evolving public health pandemic.
