Durham Businesses Invited to DPD’s Annual Safety Workshop

DURHAM, N.C. – The Durham Police Department (DPD) Community Resource Unit is holding its annual community safety workshop on Saturday, April 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Durham Police Headquarters, 602. E. Main Street. This year’s workshop specifically enlists Durham business representatives to attend. Participation is highly recommended for business owners, managers and security/loss prevention personnel. Topics include Robbery Prevention; Preserving Forensic Evidence; DPD’s Safe Place LGBTQ Initiative; Durham Businesses Against Crime; Durham Chamber of Commerce; and new Durham Police Headquarters insights. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided to registered participants.
Seating is limited. Participation is available to the first 60 business representatives who confirm attendance by close of business Monday, April 1, 2019. There is a maximum of two registrants per business.
