Public Hearing Notice: City Council - Sept. 8, 2020 at 7 p.m.

Public hearings will be held to discuss the following: Annexations - 1101 Olive Branch Road (BDG1900007), Leesville Road Assemblage (BDG1900013); Plan Amendments - 1101 Olive Branch Road (A1900006); Zoning Map Changes - 1101 Olive Branch Road (Z1900012), Leesville Road Assemblage (Z1900025); and Educational Facilities Revenue Bond - Trinity School (4011 Pickett Road, Durham, NC).

The Durham City Council will hold virtual public hearings on September 8, 2020, at 7 p.m. to hear the following requests: 

Annexations:
  • 1101 Olive Branch Road (BDG1900007) is a request for a contiguous annexation of 178.581 acres located at 1101 Olive Branch Road.
  • Leesville Road Assemblage (BDG1900013) is a request for a contiguous annexation of 111.71 acres located at 6325 Leesville Road.
Plan Amendment:
  • 1101 Olive Branch Road (A1900006) is a request to change the future land use designation located at 1101 Olive Branch Road from Very Low Density Residential/Recreation and Open Space to Low Density Residential/Recreation and Open Space.
Zoning Map Changes: 
  • 1101 Olive Branch Road (Z1900012) is a request to change the zoning located at 1101 Olive Branch Road from Rural Residential (RR), Falls/Jordan Watershed Overlay District-B (F/J-B), County Jurisdiction to Planned Development Residential 2.999 (PDR 2.999), Falls/Jordan Watershed Overlay District-B (F/J-B), City Jurisdiction.
  • Leesville Road Assemblage (Z1900025) is a request to change the zoning located at 6325 Leesville Road from Rural Residential (RR), Falls/Jordan Watershed Protection Overlay District-B (F/J-B) to Planned Development Residential 3.236 (PDR 3.236), Falls/Jordan Watershed Protection Overlay District-B (F/J-B).

Educational Facilities Revenue Bond: 
  • Trinity School (4011 Pickett Road, Durham, NC): to receive public comment on the proposed issuance by the Public Finance Authority of its Educational Facilities Revenue Bond (Trinity School) Series 2020 in an amount not to exceed $6,750,000.  The proposed bond will not constitute an indebtedness or liability of the City of Durham.
