Public Hearing Notice: Durham City Council - July 1, 2020 at 3 p.m.

Public hearings will be held to discuss the following: Annexations - 1432 Ellis Road (BDG1800019), South Mineral Springs and Pleasant (BDG1900011); Plan Amendment - 1432 Ellis Road (A1800011); and Zoning Map Changes - 1432 Ellis Road (Z1800035), South Mineral Springs and Pleasant (Z1900019), 1900 Hillandale - Committed Element Modification (Z1900046).

The Durham City Council will hold virtual public hearings on July 1, 2020, at 3 p.m. to hear the following requests:

Annexations:  

  • 1432 Ellis Road (BDG1800019) A voluntary annexation petition to annex a contiguous annexation  totaling 21.50 acres. located at 1431  Ellis Road, is a request for a contiguous annexation  totaling 21.50 acres.
  • South Mineral Springs and Pleasant (BDG1900011) A voluntary annexation petition to annex five parcels totaling 52.82 acres generally located at Holder Road, South Mineral Springs Road, and Pleasant Drive.

Plan Amendment:

  • 1432 Ellis Road (A1800011) is a request to change land use designation of property generally located at 1432 Ellis Road from Low Density Residential, Open Space and Recreation to Low-Medium Density Residential, Open Space and Recreation. 

Zoning Map Changes:

  • 1432 Ellis Road (Z1800035) is a request to change the zoning generally located at 1432 Ellis Road from Rural Residential (RR) and Residential Suburban-20 (RS-20), County Jurisdiction to Planned Development Residential 5.706 (PDR 5.706), City Jurisdiction. 
  • South Mineral Springs and Pleasant (Z1900019) is a request to change the zoning generally located at South Mineral Springs Road and Pleasant Drive from Rural Residential (RR), Residential Suburban-20 (RS-20), Falls/Jordan Lake Watershed Protection Overlay District-B (F/J-B), County Jurisdiction to Planned Development Residential 4.001 (PDR 4.001), Falls/Jordan Lake Watershed Protection Overlay District-B (F/J-B), City Jurisdiction.
  • 1900 Hillandale - Committed Element Modification (Z1900046) is a request to change the zoning located at 1900 Hillandale Road from Residential Urban-Multifamily with a development plan (RU-M(D)) to Residential Urban-Multifamily with a development plan (RU-M(D)).
