Virtual City Council Meeting
Monday, April 6, 2020
City Council holds regular meetings on the first and third Monday of every month except July and certain holidays. The meetings are open to the public and can also be viewed live or on-demand. Meeting agendas include public hearings to allow residents the opportunity to comment on current issues involving the city.
The Durham City Council will hold its regularly scheduled City Council business meeting on Monday, April 6, 2020, beginning at 7 p.m.
The State of North Carolina, Durham County, and the City of Durham have declared States of Emergency in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Governor Roy Cooper has also issued Executive Orders 117, 118 and 121, which impose restrictions intended to slow the spread of COVID-19, which includes limiting large events and gatherings of more than 10 people.
Because of the risks to the public that would arise from continued in-person meetings, the City is converting regular City Council meetings and Work Sessions to a virtual format for the duration of the North Carolina and City of Durham States of Emergency.
Reports on the City’s actions in response to COVID-19 will be presented at the April 6 meeting as well as other matters that may come before Council.
The meeting will be broadcast live and available for viewing by the public through the following methods:
