The City of Durham plans to contract with several firms to provide Stormwater Professional Services for various stormwater projects. The work will include stormwater infrastructure and stormwater quality projects. The City is seeking firms whose combination of experience and expertise will provide timely, professional services.

2018 HMGP Project Management (HMGP 4167)
The City of Durham is seeking planning and project management services to manage Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) projects for elevation (one unit, HMGP 4167-0009-R) and acquisition (12 units, HMGP 4167-0014-R) activities. These activities are to be conducted with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and North Carolina State funds pursuant to the grant agreements executed between the City of Durham and the State of North Carolina, Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Management.

2019 MS4 Inspections (SD-2019-06)
The project includes the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc. unless otherwise specified, for the complete inspection of portions of the MS4 for specified site locations throughout the City of Durham. Inspections of the MS4 will include location and verification of system components, inspections to locate possible illicit discharges into the system, and general inspections of system components to document condition.

The Stormwater Infrastructure Repairs project involves the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc. unless otherwise specified, for the complete installation of repairs of stormwater drainage systems at various site locations throughout the City of Durham.

2019 Lodge St. Reg. Stormwater Imp. (SD-2019-10)
The City of Durham is seeking assistance through professional services for the survey, design, permitting and developing of construction documents for the Lodge Street Regional Stormwater Improvements project. The City is seeking this assistance through the Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) program. The Lodge Street Regional project site (see GoMaps: https://goo.gl/aMhrpx) involves replacing and/or rerouting a compromised, existing stormwater drainage pipe system located both in the City right-of-way and on private property. It is the City’s preference to relocate as much of the system as possible into the City right-of-way.

2019 HMGP Miscellaneous Services (HMGP 4167MS)
The City of Durham is seeking miscellaneous services to perform work on Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) projects for elevation (one unit, HMGP 4167-0009-R) and acquisition (6 units, HMGP 4167-0014-R). These services include structural engineering, surveying, legal, appraisal, and asbestos inspection services. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is for structural engineering and surveying services. The Request for Proposals (RFP) is for legal, appraisal, and asbestos inspection services. The City expects and intends to enter into an individual contract for each service. This work is to be conducted with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and North Carolina State funds pursuant to the grant agreements executed between the City of Durham and the State of North Carolina, Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Management.

2020 Buckingham Road Culvert Replacement
The project involves the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc. unless otherwise specified, for the complete replacement of the storm drainage culvert where Buckingham Road intersects Tributary C of Third Fork Creek.

2020 Alpine Road Culvert Replacement
The project involves the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc. unless otherwise specified, for the complete replacement of the existing storm drainage culvert where Alpine Road intersects Tributary C of Third Fork Creek.

2020 Odyssey Dr. Culvert Replacement (SD-2020-01)
The project involves the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc. unless otherwise specified, for the complete replacement of the existing storm drainage culvert where Odyssey Drive intersects the northern prong of Northeast Creek.

2021 Bradford Circle Drainage Improv. (SD-2021-01)
The project involves the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc. unless otherwise specified, for the complete installation of repairs, rehabilitation, and improvements of the stormwater drainage system along the Bradford Circle right-of-way and adjacent properties. Currently Bradford Circle is a gravel road. The gravel road surface will be replaced with asphalt and pervious concrete pavement along with the installation of sidewalk.

2021 Residential Home Elevation
The project involves the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc. unless otherwise specified, for the complete elevation and retrofitting of the existing residential structure located at 303 Obie Drive, Durham NC, 27713. The structure is being elevated to raise the finished floor elevation above the current effective base flood elevation as part of a Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) project, HMGP 4167-0009.

2021 EWP Stream Bank Stabilization
The project involves the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc. unless otherwise specified, for the complete stabilization of stream banks in four locations (stream lengths and locations listed below) within the City of Durham. The stream bank stabilizations are being performed as part of Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) and Watershed Restoration Project (WRP) grants.
