The City of Durham has received the grant agreement from USDA-NRCS. City Council has approved the agreement and it will be executed once the final documents are received from USDA-NRCS. Professional Services (EWP-2020-01)
The Public Works Department utilized their On-Call Stormwater Professional Services (SD-2017-01) contract to select an engineering firm for the professional services part of the project. Kimley-Horn is the selected firm. City Council approved this contract and it will be executed once the grant documents are executed. Debris Removal (EWP-2020-02)
There were no attendees at the pre-bid conference and there were no bids submitted on January 21, 2020. This project will be readvertised.
Stream Bank Stabilization Construction (EWP-2020-03)
A construction project will be bid out for construction of the stream bank stabilization techniques designed by the professional services firm. We expect this project to bid Summer 2020.

The City of Durham has been approved for an Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) grant to repair damages to streams caused by Hurricane Florence. The EWP grant will provide funding for debris removal, professional services, and stream bank stabilization for locations identified by the United States Department of Agriculture - Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS).
