DCD Opens Funding Applications Process - 11/26/2018 to 1/18/2019
The Department of Community Development (DCD) has issued two Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in support of the priorities outline in the City’s Affordable Housing Goals:
Multifamily Production and Preservation – DCD is soliciting proposals for projects that produce new multifamily rental housing or preserve existing multifamily rental housing for households with incomes at or below 60% AMI. Preservation projects may include projects that will extend the affordability period of existing income-restricted multifamily affordable rental housing and/or projects that propose to create affordable housing units by converting existing market-rate multifamily units to income-restricted affordable rental housing. DCD expects to award approximately $2,400,000 in Dedicated Housing Funds under this RFP.
Neighborhood Stabilization Preservation – DCD is soliciting applications for projects that create or preserve existing single family, affordable rental housing serving households at 60% or below AMI. Eligible projects will create new affordable rental units or extend the affordability period of existing income-restricted single family affordable rental housing. Proposed projects must be located within the specific geographic areas listed in the RFP. DCD expects to award approximately $1,000,000 in Dedicated Housing Funds under this RFP.
Applications must be completed on-line through the ZoomGrants application portal: https://zoomgrants.com/gprop.asp?donorid=2251
Applications are due no later than Friday - January 18, 2019 by 4:00 pm.
