The City is soliciting a person or firm to provide research services to find historical City of Durham street data and collect information pertaining to pavement structures, resurfacing dates, and construction dates. The selected consultant will be asked to perform the following activities for the project:
Find Historical Street Maps and Documents – The consultant will search a portion of the City of Durham electronic records to find appropriate maps and documents with historical information on pavement structures, resurfacing dates and construction dates. The electronic record includes old plan and profile sheets, aerial imagery, and historical road construction maps. Input Information into GIS – The consultant must be familiar with ArcMap and be able to input the data that was collected into GIS files that are formatted properly to be uploaded into the City’s PAVER software.
