General Notice of Virtual City Council Meetings and Work Sessions

Because of the risks to the public that would arise from continued in-person meetings, the City is converting regular City Council meetings and Work Sessions to a virtual format for the duration of the North Carolina and City of Durham States of Emergency. 

Ways to Watch

Meetings will be broadcast live and available for viewing by the public through the following methods: 

  • City’s website
  • City’s YouTube Channel
  • City’s Facebook and Twitter pages
  • Durham Television Network (Spectrum Channel 8, Google Fiber Channel 8, Frontier Channel 70, and AT&T Uverse Channel 99) 
  • Roku, Apple TV & Amazon via Boxcast

Public Notice: Durham Board of Adjustment - May 26

Vote for Special Use Permits

The Durham Board of Adjustment will hold a VIRTUAL public meeting on May 26, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. This meeting will include a vote on orders for two cases that have already gone through the public hearing process: 

  • B1900050 – Dollar General Rougemont Minor Special Use Permit 
  • B1700052 – Discovery Charter II Minor Special Use Permit

600 N Roxboro (Z1900004) is a request to change the zoning district at located at 600 N Roxboro Road from Residential Urban-Multifamily (RU-M) to Residential Urban-Multifamily with a development plan (RU-M(D)).

The Durham City-County Planning Commission will hold virtual public hearings on June 2 at 5:30 p.m. to hear the following:
