Public Hearings
Public hearings allow residents to comment on current issues involving the City. Public hearings are advertised and placed on the agenda for the City Council, board, committee, or commission meeting where they will be discussed.
Ways to Provide Public Comment
To protect the health and safety of the public and staff during COVID-19, the City is currently holding meetings in a virtual format, including public hearings. During this time, comments may be provided in the following ways:
- To make live public comments on public hearing items, follow the Public Comment Instructions for Virtual Public Hearing Items (PDF).
- To provide public comments following a public hearing, feedback can be emailed to PublicHearing.Comment@durhamnc.gov for up to 24 hours following the hearing.
