    This will help us improve customer service by balancing the number of households we collect each day.

  • Bulky item collection is by request only. Residents can put in a request online or call Durham One Call at 919-560-1200.

Blue Recycling CartCart Services

  • Due to unprecedented demand, new carts and cart replacements are delayed up to 2 weeks. 
  • Residents with non-urgent cart needs are encouraged to hold off on putting in service requests to allow residents with urgent needs to be served.


Missed Collections

If we missed collecting your garbage, recycling or yard waste, we do apologize and you can report it here. Note that yard waste missed collections should be reported no later than the Monday after the miss by 4:30 pm. We will be out to collect your miss as soon as we can.
