Definitions:
BMP - (Stormwater) Best Management Practice
Examples include: wet pond, constructed wetland, bioretention area, and sand filter
 
BMC - BMP Maintenance Certifier
This certification is required to submit BMP Annual Maintenance Certifications of stormwater BMPs to the City of Durham.
 
BCE - BMP Certifying Engineer
This certification is required to submit As-Built Certifications of recently completed stormwater BMPs to the City of Durham.
 
Stormwater BMP As-Built - This occurs after a BMP has been constructed. The construction of a BMP is certified as to its surveyed constructed condition in relation to the approved design for the facility.
