City Services are provided to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the residents of and visitors to Durham. Services range from building inspections and code enforcement to providing emergency services to trash and waste collection. The City works in collaboration with the State of North Carolina to construct and maintain streets and provides essential water and sewer services.

Potholes

No community wants its roads to go to pot! When you see a pothole report it to the City of Durham Public Work's Hotline, or call (919) 560-1177. The pothole repair line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A hotline operator will be available to record necessary information including the specific location of the pothole and its approximate size.
