11th Annual Woofstock: A Party for You and Your Canine Friend!
Durham Parks and Recreation's Woofstock celebration is an excellent opportunity for citizens and their dogs to enjoy a day of fun. The event will include a Skyhoundz Disc Dog State Championship, canine demonstrations, an agility zone, free caricatures, and an opportunity to learn about and support canine non-profit organizations.

The Hyperflite Skyhoundz North Carolina Canine Disc State Championship

The most talented canine athletes in the region will take to the skies to compete. Contestants and their canine teammates will score points for everything from high-flying grabs to unbelievable acrobatics. Pre-registration for the contest begins at noon and the competition will start at 1 p.m. The competition is limited to 50 contestants.

There is no entry fee for competitors. The competition format will consist of Distance-Accuracy for novice teams and Distance-Accuracy plus Freestyle for experienced teams. Judging will be handled by a panel of canine disc experts. All competitors will receive a free official Hyperflite K-10 Competition Standard flying disc, and the top three teams in each division will receive awards. Families, friends, and spectators are invited to enjoy this unique event and applaud these talented canine athletes.

Agility Zone
Watch experienced canines run the agility course, and try it out for yourself. Volunteers will be on site to help you introduce your dog to the sport.

Canine Demonstrations
Throughout the event, several dogs and dog experts will show off their skills. Demonstration topics include K9 Nose Work, canine behavior games, and Dog Park etiquette.

Foster and Adoption Agencies
Learn more about local adoption and foster organizations. You may even find your new best friend!

Pet Market
Browse and shop for pet-related items. A variety of vendors will be on site.

Kid Zone
The younger dog lovers will have a blast in the Kid Zone, with hands on activities and crafts.

Puppy Play Pen
A place for your small pup to take a break while playing and socializing with new friends. Puppy parent supervision required.
