City Services
City Services are provided to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the residents of and visitors to Durham. Services range from building inspections and code enforcement to providing emergency services to trash and waste collection. The City works in collaboration with the State of North Carolina to construct and maintain streets and provides essential water and sewer services.

Summer Camp

Durham Parks and Recreation Summer Camps

DPR summer camp programs offer a safe, inclusive environment where all children are encouraged to participate. Life skills through group activities and exposure to diverse athletic, environmental and educational experiences are offered.

General Information

Dates: Monday, June 18 - Friday, August 17

Time: 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Ages: 5-12 (except where indicated)

Child must turn 5 by September 1, 2011 and have completed kindergarten

Note: All camps will be closed on Wednesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

Fees

Cost per week: CR PC $120; CR NPC $132; NCR PC $135; NCR NPC $152

Sliding fees are available. Applications are available online, at any of our recreation centers or at administrative offices.

Registration Details

Children must be registered before they attend camp. The onsite and online registration kickoff was held on March 24 at the camp locations. Onsite registration will continue during normal DPR business hours.
