Durham Parks and Recreation offers a variety of great sites for your next event, family gathering or concert. See information about the rental process and the facilities available for rent below.

Contact Information
Picnic shelters and park rentals, plazas, campsites, trails, and special use facilities contact the reservationist or call (919) 560-4355, ext. 27202. For tennis courts and athletic fields, contact the athletic staff at (919) 560-4355. 
 
Picnic Shelters
Reservations are currently being taken for the 2013 shelter season. All shelter usage is on a first come, first serve basis until the beginning of the 2013 season.
 
Picnic Shelter Season: April 1 - October 31
Many Durham parks offer picnic shelters on a “first come, first served” basis. By making reservations, you are assured of having the picnic shelter of your choice. Permits must be purchased by Tuesday at 5 p.m. for the remainder of the work week and weekend. 
 
Campsites
Parks and Recreation offers a variety opportunities for outdoor recreation, including a year-round camping area. All reservations are on a first come, first serve basis.
 
Outdoor Plazas (including CCB Plaza and the Durham Centre Parking Deck Plaza).
 
Special Facilities
(including the Durham Armory, Spruce Pine Lodge, Forest Hills Neighborhood Clubhouse and McCown-Mangum House). These facilities will be closed during city holidays for rentals and viewings. 

Please Note: The Durham Armory is Closed April 21-July 31
The Durham Armory on 212 Foster Street will be closed on April 21 – July 31 for renovation and revitalization. The facility will not available to the public for viewings during that time.
