Streetscape Design for Targeted Neighborhood Commercial Areas - North Mangum and Corporation Street Intersection This program works to enhance the design and visual appeal of the North Magnum and Corporation Street intersection to promote economic development along the targeted commercial corridor. The area serves as a gateway entrance into downtown Durham and the Little Five points neighborhood. Local residents, businesses, developers and other key stakeholders had the opportunity to participate in this process through open meetings. Community input assisted in designing the intersection that match the area’s unique aesthetics and functionality. The City of Durham’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development and Public Works Department is partnering with E.G. & G., Inc., a landscape architecture, planning, and engineering firm, to implement this project.
