Durham Hosts 2012 Golden Leaf Awards Next Week

Ceremony Sponsorship Opportunities Still Available

​DURHAM, N.C. – Who will walk away with the prestigious Golden Leaf statue for their Durham property voted to have outstanding curb appeal? Be sure to attend next week’s 2012 Golden Leaf Awards for Community Appearance to find out.

This year’s ceremony is set for Thursday, October 4, 2012. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at the newly renovated MDC headquarters, located at 307 W. Main St. in downtown Durham. The event is free and open to the public and Durham residents are encouraged to attend.

The Durham City-County Appearance Commission, Keep Durham Beautiful, Inc., and the Durham City-County Environmental Affairs Board are recognizing properties that raise the bar for excellence in design and maintenance in Durham. These prestigious awards are given to highlight the value that Durham puts on community appearance.
