DURHAM, N.C. - Durham residents can get an up close look behind the scenes of the Durham Police Department (DPD) by participating in the 2012 session of the Citizens Police Academy.
The series of classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays starting August 28 through October 4. Classes are offered in English and Spanish.
The academy will culminate with a graduation event as part of DPD’s National Crime Prevention Month observance. Program flyers and registration forms are available online at www.durhampolice.com under the “Crime Prevention” and “Community Programs” links.
Class size is limited and registration is processed on a first come, first served basis. The registration deadline of August 14 has been extended.
