Durham Parks and Recreation (DPR) is closing a small gravel parking lot on the American Tobacco Trail (ATT) on Fayetteville Street near Antler Point Drive this Winter. This Summer, DPR will open a new trailhead parking lot on the ATT adjacent to C.M. Herndon Park. Trailhead parking and restroom facilities are currently available at C.M. Herndon Park and Solite Park. Working with private groups, DPR has developed bike maintenance stations at the American Tobacco Campus Trailhead, Solite Park, and the Herndon Park. DPR will also be developing a slope control project near the downtown area and will keep the public informed of closures and progress.
