    Join us for our Out of the Pool Back to School Lock In and celebrate summer one more time before school starts! Our night will involve swimming, pizza, snacks, music, games, unlimited open gym time, and a movie on our giant screen! Bring a sleeping bag and pillow or stay up all night! Participants 18 years old will be asked to present a valid high school ID in order to participate.

  2. A Kids Life: The Daily Grind and Flour Power

    We have used mills to grind grain into flour since Biblical times. Come learn the ins and outs of milling and sample bread baked with West Point?s flour. This program is free, but a small donation is suggested. Adults must stay with their children, and are encouraged to participate.

You are encouraged, but not required, to bring your own family recipes to exchange with the community, or even samples to share. This program is free, but registration is required.

    This event is designed to introduce people of all ages to the tennis programs offered by Durham Parks and Recreation.   7. Milling Around at West Point

    August 25, 2018, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ West Point On the Eno

    How do our millers keep the West Point Mill running. Go behind the scenes with our Head Miller and help us run the mill for a day. You will open the sluicebox gates, fill the hopper, and engage the runner stone. While you are at it, you will also learn about North Carolinas mill history and use the millers knot to tie a bag of cornmeal for the road. Due to safety, you must be 18 years or older to attend this workshop.
