  1. Durham Community Trail Watch (DCTW)

The Durham Community Trail Watch is a network of volunteers that patrol the Hike & Bike trails in Durham at their leisure. The group was originally formed to help make the American Tobacco Trail a safer and more enjoyable place to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family. The group has since expanded its patrol territory to include all Hike & Bike trails in Durham County. DCTW continues to promote safe, clean and enjoyable trails through Durham Parks and Recreation’s Adopt-a-Trail program, its own Education Stations and monthly Full Moon Fever Bike Rides. Please visit the DCTW Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/DurhamCommunityTrailWatch, to find out more about the group’s activities. Would you like to become a member of this program? Please fill out an application. DCTW requires that all of volunteers pass a background check. Once the application is approved, applicants will be contacted and provided more information about how DCTW patrols the Hike & Bike trails in Durham. .
