Environmental Workforce Development

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded an Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training Grant to the City of Durham in partnership with Durham Technical Community College. The training is non-paid, but is provided at no cost to participants and will be offered at the main campus of Durham Technical Community College.

Requirements
Resident of Durham, North Carolina or U.S. military veteran
18 yrs of age or older
Ability to pass drug test, career readiness assessment & complete a 1 week, M – F 9a.m. – 4 p.m. non-paid Physical/Work Assessment
GED or High School Diploma
North Carolina Drivers License or North Carolina State ID

Note: Background checks including driving records and drug tests will be conducted by employers prior to employment offers. Due to the nature of some jobs, criminal backgrounds and serious driving offenses will limit employment opportunities.
