The Former Offender Program through the NCWorks Career Center in Durham provides individualized assistance with career counseling and employment search and retention for eligible people with criminal backgrounds/convictions to aid in their transition as responsible members of the community and workforce.
The NCWorks Job-Driven program is a fully funded* grant program that offers short-term technical skills training in high-growth industries. The training qualifies participants for entry-level positions. This grant-funded program also includes prerequisite workforce development preparation in soft skills and effective job search strategies.
