Durham Parks and Recreation offers a variety of drop-in water exercise classes. For a list of the current

All of the classes listed below are for ages 13 and up.
Exercises are specifi cally designed for those suffering from debilitating disorders such as arthritis and fibromyalgia. The goal is for participants to perform daily activities with increased comfort. You do not need to know how to swim to join.

Noon Day Noodles (Summer Only)
Get outside and get moving in the pool! This shallow water aerobics class offers a total workout while protecting joints from the pounding of a traditional land aerobics class. The program is designed to utilize the natural resistance of water allowing for muscle toning, cardiovascular endurance, and increased flexibility. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and water shoes are recommended.
