The City is moving towards construction of project ST-264, Fayetteville Road Improvements.
The project has been updated to incorporate the former ST-254 Fayetteville/Buxton/Riddle Realignment Project, in order to more effectively utilize the City's resources and provide a more coordinated and less disruptive construction process.

The Fayetteville Road Improvements Project will consist of widening and enhancing Fayetteville Road from Barbee Road to Cornwallis Road.  The Fayetteville/Buxton/Riddle Road Realignment Project consists of converting the junction of Buxton and Riddle Roads to a traditional intersection.  We are excited about this work and hope it will provide a welcomed improvement to the neighborhood and the traveling community.

These projects will be advertised for bid in Summer 2017 and to begin construction in Fall 2017.The expected duration of the construction is 18 months.  Normal construction will occur Monday thru Friday during daytime hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Activities which will disrupt traffic, such as lane closures and shifts will only occur between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
